Key Responsibilities & Duties
As an Accountant at Ranford College, your main duties will include:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and trial balances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and PAYG withholding summaries.
- Assist in preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
- Ensure compliance with ATO and other regulatory requirements.
- Support end-of-year tax planning and financial reporting processes.
Management Accounting
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
- Monitor business performance and provide variance and trend analysis.
- Assist management with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis.
Other Duties
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation legislation.
- Provide financial advice and support to management and clients as required.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.

- Formal degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of expreince in accounting field in Australia
