Southern Steel Group is the largest privately owned steel distributor in Australia, made up of multiple businesses operating across the country. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our busy Head Office team in Milperra.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in administration, finance or customer service. Previous accounts receivable experience is NOT essential - full training will be provided to the right candidate.
About the Role:
This role will see you supporting the Accounts Receivable team in managing a large portfolio of customer accounts. Key responsibilities will include:
Account reconciliations
Following up overdue accounts and payment enquiries
Daily release of customer orders
processing daily banking
communicating with customers and clients
providing general administrative support to the Accounts team.
To be successful, you will have:
strong communication and customer service skills;
Good attention to detail and accuracy;
Excellent organisation and time management skills;
The ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment;
A positive attitude and willingness to learn;
Strong computer skills;
Previous experience in administration or customer service will be highly regarded
