We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Diesel Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of all farm machinery, vehicles and equipment to ensure efficient and safe farming operations year-round.
This position requires strong mechanical expertise, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with management and team members.

- Minimum 45 hours per week, with additional hours required during peak farming periods
- Salary from $90,000 per annum + superannuation (based on experience)

Task & responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of tractors, harvesters, trucks, plant and agricultural machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs
- Maintaining machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Keeping accurate service and maintenance records
- Liaising with external service providers when required
- Fabrication, welding and general workshop duties as needed
- Ensuring all machinery is operated and maintained safely and efficiently
- Reporting equipment issues, safety concerns, accidents or incidents to management
- Assisting with machinery operation during peak periods if required
Qualification & experience
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, agricultural machinery and farm equipment
- Welding and fabrication skills (highly regarded)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
About Company
Woolkabin Farms is a family-owned grain and sheep farming enterprise located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, approximately 25 minutes from Katanning. The business produces wheat, barley, canola and runs a Merino sheep operation.
We operate a large fleet of modern agricultural machinery and trucks and maintain an on-site, well-equipped workshop.
