ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Groote Eylandt is Australias largest Manganese mining operation, and under the arrangement WorkPac will provide Industrial and Professional employees to help drive productivity and growth across all facets of the operation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

In this role, you will serve as an experienced Operator within the Ancillary Crew, utilizing your technical proficiency to support essential site operations. You will be responsible for operating 30-tonne excavators and articulated haul trucks (Moxy), while applying your specialized knowledge in dewatering and poly welding. A primary requirement of this position is a proven background in managing sumps and pumps, ensuring that water management and site infrastructure are maintained to a high standard of efficiency and safety.

• Operate ancillary equipment including dozers, loaders, water carts, excavators, and Moxy trucks
• Manage and maintain pit sumps, including monitoring water levels and ensuring optimal pump performance
• Install, operate, and maintain dewatering systems and pumps
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of pumps and associated infrastructure
• Support safe work practices and adhere to site safety standards
• Assist with general ancillary and site support tasks as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Previous mining experience as an operator on 30 T Excavators and Moxy Trucks
• Dewatering Experience and Poly Welding experience
• Current HR Driver's License & Right to Work in Australia
• All applicants must be prepared to undergo pre-employment medical assessment, and will be subject to ongoing random fitness for work testing
