We are seeking a qualified Architectural Draftsperson with strong technical and design drafting experience to join our team. The role will involve producing detailed drawings, documentation, and 3D models to support project approvals and construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed architectural drawings and documentation across all project stages, including concept design, schematic design, design development, tender documentation, and construction documentation for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Translate architectural concepts into accurate, practical, and compliant working drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software, demonstrating strong technical drafting capability developed through at least 5 years of industry experience.
• Produce advanced 3D models, visualisations, renderings, and presentation materials to effectively communicate design intent and technical solutions to clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, project managers, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy, buildability, and compliance with project specifications and Australian building standards.
• Prepare and review documentation for development applications, building permits, fire safety approvals, and authority submissions, ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), local council requirements, and relevant construction regulations.
• Review shop drawings, technical submissions, and construction details prepared by subcontractors and suppliers, and provide drafting modifications or technical solutions where required.
• Undertake site inspections, resolve on-site design and documentation issues, and liaise with construction personnel to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing tender documentation, material schedules, specification documentation, and design reports to support project delivery and procurement processes.
• Maintain accurate revision control, drawing registers, and digital documentation systems while ensuring timely delivery of project documentation within deadlines.
• Provide technical drafting guidance and contribute professional insights based on extensive experience in architectural drafting, documentation coordination, and large-scale project delivery. 

Qualification & experience

Skills and Experience Required

• Diploma or higher qualification in Building Design, Architectural Technology, or Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Architectural Draftsperson, Architectural Designer, or Architect involved in architectural drafting, construction documentation, and project coordination for residential, commercial, or industrial developments
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3ds Max for modelling and presentation.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and building standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage design workflows.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Bilingual in English and Vietnamese, facilitating effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience preparing full sets of design and construction drawings for large-scale industrial and commercial projects (e.g., factories, warehouses, offices).
• Ability to balance design aesthetics with functional construction solutions.
