Our client is a high profile reputable organisation. You will be working with a professional finance team and have the full support of a hands-on experienced Financial Controller.  This is a unique opportunity for an assistant accountant who is keen to learn and develop and join a supportive finance team with a positive working environment

The role includes:

• Assist with timely and complete close of month and year end in accordance with agreed timeframes including preparation of journals and balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with the maintenance of fixed asset register

• Assist with preparation of the audit file and reconciliation support information, liaising with auditors;

• Responsible for expense management, invoice & travel software

• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

• BAS Returns

• Assist with AP and AR

• Actively participate on system upgrades and implementation.

• Assisting with internal and external audits.

• Attending to internal/external accounts enquiries.

• Leading month-end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, reporting and analysis.

Requirements for the role:

• Accounting degree and preferably studying towards CA or CPA

• Relevant accounting experience.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
