As we celebrate our 40th anniversary and launch Blueprint 2026+, our strategic direction for the years ahead, we are seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our Junior School leadership team in the position of Assistant Head of Junior School-Learning.

About the role

As a pivotal member of the Junior School Leadership Team, the Assistant Head of Junior School – Learning is responsible for driving excellence in teaching and learning across Pre-Prep to Year 6.

Working in close partnership with the Head of Junior School and the Director of Teaching and Learning, this role provides strategic and operational leadership in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and staff development. The successful applicant will champion evidence-informed practice, embed the School’s shared pedagogical framework and ensure high-quality, coherent learning experiences for all students.

The Assistant Head of Junior School – Learning also maintains a teaching load, modelling exemplary classroom practice and demonstrating impact through high-quality instruction.

About you

The successful applicant will bring a strong track record of educational leadership, deep curriculum knowledge and a passion for improving student outcomes through evidence-based practice.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner with strong pedagogical expertise.

• Proven experience in instructional, curriculum or middle leadership within a primary or junior school setting.

• Strong understanding of evidence-informed teaching practices and experience embedding a shared pedagogical approach.

• Deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum Version 9 and effective assessment practices.

• The ability to use data to inform teaching, drive improvement and support diverse learners through differentiation and inclusion.

• Outstanding communication, relational and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop others.

• Experience contributing to school operations, including timetabling, staffing and event coordination.

• A reflective approach and commitment to continuous improvement, student wellbeing and child safety.

• A strong commitment to the ethos and Christian foundations of All Saints Anglican School.
