The Position:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join our team at our Margate bakery in Brisbane. This is a full-time position.

Salary:

Annual salary range of $75,000 – $77,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and baking a variety of bread products, including artisan breads, rolls, and specialty items
• Mixing, moulding, proofing, and baking dough in accordance with Bakers Delight recipes and standards
• Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times to ensure product consistency and quality
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and workstations
• Assisting with stock control and ingredient preparation
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment to meet production targets

Qualification & experience

Skills & Experience Required:

• Relevant qualification in baking or commercial cookery (minimum Certificate III or equivalent) OR sufficient experience to substitute formal qualification.
• 1 – 2 years of full-time relevant baking experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
