Male Alchemy Kingston is now open at Spring Farm Village, owned and operated by Male Alchemy Australia Pty Ltd, and we are looking for a talented and driven Barber to join our team from the ground up.

In this full-time role, you will deliver the full range of Male Alchemy’s grooming services, maintain the high standards the brand is known for, and play an active part in creating a welcoming and professional shop atmosphere.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Conduct thorough client consultations to identify individual preferences and deliver personalised haircut and grooming outcomes
• Execute a wide range of men’s haircuts using scissors, clippers and razors, encompassing skin fades, tapered cuts, crop cuts and classic styles
• Carry out beard shaping, trimming and straight razor shaving services with care and precision
• Perform scalp care and hair preparation, including shampooing, as part of the service where required
• Use appropriate finishing products and styling techniques to achieve a polished, consistent result
• Advise clients on grooming products and maintenance practices suited to their hair type and lifestyle
• Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation protocols, including thorough cleaning and sterilisation of all tools and work surfaces between clients
• Ensure every client receives attentive and high-quality service throughout their visit
• Contribute to a positive team dynamic and help uphold Male Alchemy’s service standards across all client interactions

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in barbering or hairdressing within a commercial salon setting
• Solid technical ability across a broad range of contemporary and classic barbering techniques, including fades, scissor work and razor services
• Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or higher in Barbering/Hairdressing, or overseas equivalent) preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, client-focused approach to consultations and service
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to maintain high performance standards in a fast-paced environment
• Enthusiastic about men’s grooming with a genuine interest in ongoing skill development
