About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team at Connectt Total Business Solutions' in Taylors Beach, NSW. This is a full-time role that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of our clients' businesses.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

  • Preparing and submitting BAS and IAS statements on time

  • Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts

  • Generating financial reports and statements for clients

  • Payroll processing and compliance

  • Liaising with clients, accountants, and other stakeholders as needed

  • Continuously improving processes and identifying opportunities to streamline operations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a small business environment

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
