Silvertone Constructions is seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to join our team. The successful candidate will work on various construction projects in Melbourne and will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials in accordance with construction plans and specifications.

Task & responsibilities

• Handle and prepare bricklaying/block laying/stone materials, mixing cement and carting of bricks.
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and othermasonry materials using mortar orother bonding agents.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Plan bricklaying daily activities on site in consultation with the foreman, completing work to the highest standard possible.
• Ensuring work is completed according to specifications and building codes
• Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Working collaboratively with team members and other tradespeople

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bricklayer
• Trade qualification in Bricklaying or relevant field
• Knowledge of construction techniques and materials
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
