The Building Construction Supervisor oversees and coordinates day‑to‑day construction operations across residential, commercial, and civil projects, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, project specifications, building codes, and company standards. The role includes supervising onsite tradespersons, subcontractors, and labourers; monitoring progress and conducting regular site inspections; maintaining strict WHS compliance; organising materials, equipment, and resources; liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients; and proactively resolving onsite issues to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Task & responsibilities

•    Supervise day-to-day construction site activities and workflows

•    Coordinate and organise labour, subcontractors, and materials required for each project

•    Monitor construction progress to ensure works are completed on time and to required quality standards

•    Interpret and work from construction drawings, plans, and specifications

•    Liaise with site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

•    Conduct site inspections and identify issues, delays, or safety concerns

•    Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

•    Maintain site documentation, daily reports, and progress records

•    Ensure construction works comply with Australian building codes, regulations, and company procedures

Qualification & experience

• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision or coordination
• Diploma in Building and Construction or a related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• White Card (required)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to supervise teams effectively
