This is a Business Development role focused on growing revenue across a select portfolio of Tier 1 customers within the building, construction and infrastructure sector.

As Business Development Manager, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, drawn from Kennards Hire's top customer base. Your role is to deepen relationships, win new business and grow existing accounts and deliver structured, solution-led growth.

About the Role
You will be responsible for driving growth across a defined portfolio of major accounts, balancing executive-level engagement and operational personnel. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of Tier 1 customer accounts
  • Increasing wallet share through targeted, solution-led engagement
  • Building strong relationships across all stakeholder levels, from site teams to senior executives
  • Delivering boardroom-level presentations on capability, solutions and value proposition
  • Developing and executing customer-specific growth plans aligned to sales strategy
  • Managing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across the WA region
  • Partnering with internal teams to ensure customer commitments can be delivered operationally
  • Providing input into pricing, forecasts and account planning
  • Maintaining strong CRM discipline and portfolio management

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience managing major or Tier 1 customer accounts
  • Demonstrated boardroom and senior stakeholder presentation experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to flex style between executive and operational audiences
  • A solutions-led approach to sales, rather than transactional selling
  • Solid commercial acumen and confidence discussing value, not just price
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure or a related industry (highly regarded)
  • This role is not suited to junior BDMs or candidates without executive presentation exposure
