Campaign Specialist
Contract (Labour Hire) | 3 days/week (Mon–Wed) | Sydney

We're partnering with a large NSW Government agency to find a senior campaign specialist for their marketing team. The work here is genuinely high-profile, multi-million dollar public safety campaigns that reach and influence the behaviour of millions of people across NSW every year.

The team is lean, experienced, and moves fast. You'll be working with media agencies, creative agencies, and research partners on a daily basis, so this isn't a role for someone who needs a lot of direction. They want someone who can walk in, size up what's in front of them, and get on with it.

What You'll Be Doing

• Overseeing integrated campaign delivery across TV, OOH, press, radio, and digital
• Reviewing and interrogating media plans, channel selections, and performance reporting
• Briefing creative agencies on asset development and adapting existing work for new channels and formats
• Writing informed campaign briefs that reflect a genuine understanding of each channel's role
• Supporting the end-to-end delivery of a brand new maritime safety campaign, including potential shoot-day involvement
• Liaising with research agencies on post-campaign analysis and performance reporting
• Managing relationships across multiple internal clients and stakeholders at varying seniority levels

What You'll Bring

Essential:

• 6–7+ years of well-rounded marketing experience spanning creative, media, and research
• Strong paid media credentials — you need to be able to read, assess, and push back on a media plan
• Proven delivery across multi-channel campaigns (TV, OOH, radio, press, digital)
• Sharp brief writer with the ability to translate strategy into clear creative direction
• Confident stakeholder manager across both agency and client-side relationships
• Self-sufficient and proactive — this team needs someone who hits the ground running

Highly Desirable:

• Government or public sector communications experience
• Familiarity with the Government Advertising Act and associated governance
• Background in public safety, behaviour change, or community awareness campaigns

Why Consider This Role

• High-visibility campaigns with genuine community impact across NSW
• Daily exposure to media, creative, and research agencies at a senior level
• Real potential for extension and/or expansion to additional days
• Hybrid working — primarily remote with flexible office attendance
• A down-to-earth, collaborative team doing work that matters
