School Canteen Assistant -

We are looking to employ experienced, efficient and enthusiastic school canteen and catering assistants to join our team and assist in our school canteens in multiple locations.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a commercial kitchen highly regarded.

• Reliable and punctual

• Collaboration and teamwork

• Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.

• Respect towards Students, staff and clients.
   

Key Responsibilities 

• Food preparation and presentation 

• Kitchen cleanliness and hygiene

• Maintaining high food safety standards

• Front-of-house service

• Work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of various dietary requirements
  

Applicant must have experience in food preparation and cooking onsite, well organized in a fast paced environment, work well under pressure, enjoy working with children and preparing and serving freshly prepared food, have excellent customer service, Eftpos and cash handling skills.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Canteen Manager and will assist in the day to day running and operation of our canteens.

Position 1 - Thursdays & Fridays

8.30am Start - 1.00pm Finish

Woodcroft area (5162)

Position 2 - Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays

9.30am start - 1.45pm Finish

Mitcham area (5062)

This position requires a mandatory DCSI (working with children) clearance. (WWCC)
