Truck Driver - Pet Aftercare

At Pets in Peace, part of the InvoCare Group, we help families honour a lifetime of unconditional love. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Truck Driver to join our Operations Team.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and respectful transportation of deceased pets between our depot locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and transferring pets between Pets in Peace locations
• Transferring site consumables and stock between Pets in Peace locations
• Ensuring items are correctly secured prior to transportation, tagged, weighed, and tracked using internal systems
• Completing all transport documentation accurately and on time
• Complying with all Australian Road Rules, transport and Heavy vehicle requirements.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, presentation.
• Report when vehicle requires service, repairs or is damaged
• Adhering to WH&S policies and reporting hazards or risks promptly

About You:

• Valid MR or higher driver licence
• Forklift license and ability to reverse a trailer is advantageous but not required
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time‑sensitive environment
• Comfortable working in a role involving pet after life services
• Reliable, safety‑focused, and respectful at all times
