Task & responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methods
• Select, order, and prepare timber and building materials
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components
• Construct and install frameworks, flooring, and panel systems
• Fit door and window frames, wall cladding, fascia, and roofing components
• Assemble prefabricated timber structures and fittings for installation
• Create strong and accurate wood joints and connections
• Carry out formwork for concrete structures when required
• Repair, maintain, and replace existing timber fittings and structures
• Work with a range of materials, including timber, laminates, perspex, and metal components

Qualification & experience

• Trade qualification in Carpentry
• Proven experience as a Carpenter 
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Strong attention to detail, technical and practical skills
• Commitment to quality
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to work independently and in a team
