Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced full-time Carpenter to manufacture and rectify and bespoke timber frames and trusses using hand tools, semi-automatic machinery, and CNC woodworking equipment both on site and in the field.
Manufacture and assembly of bespoke frames & trusses using hand tools, semi automatic & CNC woodworking equipment. This role represents an opportunity for a hardworking individuals to futher develop their residential constuction skills and knowledge.

Task & responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications to determine framing requirements, dimensions and installation methods.
- Measure, mark out, cut, shape and assemble timber framing components to specification.
- Manufacture wall frames, roof trusses, floor systems and related framing components for residential construction.
- Modify, repair and rework timber framing members and prefabricated components to suit site conditions and design changes.
- Erect framework, roof framing, sub-flooring and floorboards, and check alignment and trueness.
- Fit and install door and window frames, fascia, roof sheeting support, cladding and other timber components.
- Assemble prepared timber to form structures and fittings ready for installation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and machinery safely to cut and shape timber and framing materials.
- Work with timber substitutes and other approved materials where required.
- Repair existing structural timber elements and carry out rectification work as needed.
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III including at least two years of least relevant experience or Certificate IV and at least one year of relevant experience or at least three years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in residential framing, including wall frames, roof trusses and floor systems.
- Experience manufacturing, modifying and repairing timber framing components to drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read plans, measure accurately, cut and assemble framing with minimal supervision.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and carpentry machinery safely.
- Experience working on residential building sites and coordinating with supervisors and other trades.
