We are currently looking for a casual Catering Assistant to join our team at one of Melbourne’s Residential Universities located in Parkville.

The key to our success is our people. Your role as Catering Assistant in this busy kitchen and residential facility is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued customers and students.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service
• Service & set up of students through the dining service areas
• Food preparation, including sandwiches & salads
• Putting of deliveries away in accordance with Food Safety guidelines
• Kitchen Cleaning & dishes
• Assisting with function setups

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• A passion for quality food, and customer service
• A current food handlers certificate (this can be arranged)
• Previous experience in food preparation
• Previous experience in a cafe environment
• Understanding of OH&S and food safety practices
• A warm, bubbly and efficient personality
• An ability to work as part of a great team
• Have excellent attention to detail

WWC is a must in this location - Onsite parking is available!

Must be able to work the below shifts – and have the option to fill other available shifts

• Thursday 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Friday 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Saturday 9:30am-2:00pm / 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Sunday 9:30am-2:00pm/ 3:30pm-7:30pm
