We are advertising on behalf of our client (MK Business Group Pty Ltd t/a G’day Chef)

G’day Chef is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join their kitchen team in Moe. This is a full-time position suited to a motivated Chef who can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
• Assisting in the development of menu items and seasonal offerings
• Managing daily kitchen operations and coordinating food production
• Monitoring portion control, food quality, and consistency
• Determining food inventory requirements, ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
• Controlling food costs and minimising wastage
• Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety regulations
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and storage areas
• Working closely with management and front of house staff to ensure smooth service delivery

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A strong passion for food and hospitality
