FULL-TIME Chef – TWOHANS TAREE, NSW 2430

Twohans is looking for a passionate, reliable and team-oriented Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen. We specialize in vibrant fusion of Japanese and Korean dishes and we pride ourselves on a kitchen culture built on mutual respect and efficiency.

Your duties will include:

• Plan, design and update menus in line with customer demand, seasonal availability and business objectives
• Estimate food and labour costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Order, receive and manage food supplies, ensuring quality, freshness and appropriate stock rotation.
• Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation to maintain consistent standards.
• Prepare and cook Japanese and Korean inspired foods
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance to kitchen staff on preparation methods, portion control and plating standards.
• Work closely with the BOH and FOH team to ensure smooth service and clear communication.
• Manage daily mise en place to ensure the station is stocked and ready for each service periods.
• Assist in inventory management, labelling, and ensuring food wastage is kept on minimum.
• Assist with selecting and training staff
• Maintain a spotless workstation and strictly follow food safety and HACCP regulations.

Requirements of position:

• Minimum of a relevant Diploma and at least 1 years of work experience or 3 years of experience may substitute for formal qualification

Proven experience in a fast paced kitchen is highly regarded.

• Reliable in any situation.

• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Multi Tasking.
