• Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes including biryanis, curries, tandoori items,and appetisers
• Maintaining consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control
• Assisting with the supervision and coordination of kitchen staff during service
• Supporting menu planning and contributing ideas for new dishes
• Ensuring the kitchen operates in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies
• Checking deliveries to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients
• Training and supporting junior kitchen staff
• Ensuring proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food items
• Assisting with food preparation for catering orders, cultural events, and corporate functions
• Minimising food waste and maintaining cost control in the kitchen
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is used and maintained safely
• Excellent English communication skills
• The right to work in Australia
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Chef
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to supervise and work effectively with other kitchen staff
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures
