R King Catering Pty Ltd seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team at the City Memorial Bowls Club Bistro in Warrnambool Victoria 3280. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our bistro, alfresco area, members area, and function room. A strong background in Italian cuisine is highly desirable.

Salary: AUD $73,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation

Task & responsibilities

•   Master various cooking techniques to prepare our signature dishes

• Create and modify the menu as per customer feedback

• Ensure compliance with environmental health and council requirements

• Supervise, coordinate and train kitchen staff, as well as review staff performance

• Follow and monitor operating procedures, including receiving and storage of stock, maintenance and cleaning of equipment

• Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are met at all times

• Order and manage stock, as well as monitor ingredient quality

• Ensure high quality of food and presentation

• Inspire staff to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene

• Undertake menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control

Qualification & experience

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment under pressure

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
