Task & responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of Indian authentic Indian dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian
- Create new curry recipes and update the menu from time to time
- Maintain high standards of taste, quality, and food presentation
- Manage kitchen supplies, restock ingredients, and take care of equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Train and support kitchen staff when needed
- Work as a team with the head chef and others to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Work independently and manage kitchen tasks without supervision
Qualification & experience
- Cert IV or above in Commercial Cookery is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef, with a focus on a variety of Indian food recipes, presentation methods, and plating styles
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and the ability to uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene
