$70,000 - $80,000 Annual

The successful chef will be an intricate part of the kitchen team,  they will need to be competent in all areas of the kitchen, have a strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude.

The chef's position is a Full-Time role (38 Hours Per Week) which provides a great work-life balance.


Task & responsibilities

Plan menus, keeping in mind budget and availability of seasonal ingredients.

Oversee all kitchen operations.

Coordinate kitchen staff and assist / train staff as required.

Responsible for kitchen equipment and machinery are operational and operational at all times.

Complete daily pre and cook food as per orders during service.  Meet dietary requirements when required.

Assist head chef when required, run kitchen when head chef isn't in kitchen.

Complete stock orders as per kitchen procedures.

Oversee daily/weekly kitchen cleaning roster, maintaining kitchen and equipment to standards.

Work to and manage all health and safety standards at all times.

Supervise kitchen staff as required.


Qualification & experience

•Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery required.

•Minimum of 1 years’ experience required working in a busy commercial kitchen.
