Masala Kitchen Kotara is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our busy team on a full-time basis. We specialize in authentic Indian cuisine and require a dedicated professional to maintain our high standards of quality and service.

• Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of authentic Indian cuisine dishes, including tandoor, curry, and bread items.
• Manage and coordinate all activities of the kitchen staff and cooks, ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Control inventory, estimate food requirements, and monitor food costs to maintain profitability.
• Ensure all food preparation and storage areas comply with strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain quality control and presentation standards for all prepared meals.
• Assist in menu planning and development, introducing new and creative dishes.
• Train and mentor kitchen personnel on cooking techniques and station management.
• Hold relevant qualifications or skills in commercial cookery (e.g., Certificate IV or equivalent).
• Have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the industry or a similar role, ideally within an Indian restaurant environment.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and proven ability to manage all aspects of kitchen operations efficiently.
• Be self-motivated, confident, creative, and enthusiastic.
• Be a reliable team player with excellent communication skills.
