Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with menu standards
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies and ingredients
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety procedures
• Work closely with the Head Chef to support daily kitchen operations
• Assist in menu development and creation of new dishes
• Monitor portion control and minimise food wastage
• Maintain consistency and quality in all food preparation

Qualification & experience

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy hospitality environment
• Relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Passion for food, creativity and maintaining high standards
• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
