About the Role

KBNL Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Port Melbourne. This role is responsible for ensuring food production is organized and delivered to the highest standards while supporting kitchen operations, staff training, and food quality control.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production, consistency, and efficiency in line with restaurant standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistency and correct portion control 
  • Oversee mise en place and ensure timely food service aligned with demand 
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain performance and productivity 
  • Contribute to menu development and daily specials 
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering, and minimize wastage through effective control 
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards 
  • Ensure kitchen operations comply with Food Safety Programs and WHS requirements 
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional service 

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations 
  • Ability to lead a section independently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Passion for quality food, teamwork, and continuous improvement
