What you bring to the table: 

• Genuine passion and pride for delivering outstanding experiences through products and service that exceed expectations

• Hands-on team leader with a minimum of 1 year's experience within a similar role

• A desire to learn and grow as an individual and to support the people around you to do the same

• Show an ability in supervising the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that the back of house is prepared, ready and staffed appropriately

• An ability to follow instructions, delegate tasks and follow up on their completion with effective cross-checking

• An ability to communicate openly and honestly with your peers

• Actively coach and support reporting staff whilst engaged in training or development

• Contribute to the maintenance of both high productivity and good morale

• Desire to develop and refine recipes and cooking techniques, as well as Menu item costing and development

• Ability to monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock of ingredients and supplies

• Ensure food safety standards are implemented and followed, and keep food safety records

• Controlling wages on shift in line with targets set by the Sous Chef

• Weekly food cogs reporting

• Hold a Certificate IV in commercial cookery or higher or at least 3 years of experience
