Grease Monkey is now looking for qualified chefs with experience in fast-paced and high-volume kitchens to work for our Braddon or Woden venue. Weekend and night availability is essential.

Task & responsibilities
- Creating and planning menus in consultation with the Executive Chef.
- Preparing and cooking food according to the menu.
- Monitoring the quality and presentation of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Discussing food preparation issues with managers, dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
- Training kitchen staff and enforcing hygiene regulations.
Qualification & experience
Successful candidates must:
- have qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role in the past 5 years
- have experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
- be capable of monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- have good communication skills
- be a good team member
- have excellent attention to details
- be familiarised with food safety standards and practices, and hygiene regulations
