A Melbourne-based construction and project support business involved in civil, commercial, residential, and infrastructure-related works is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to support the coordination and delivery of active construction projects across multiple sites.
The business is currently managing ongoing construction activities requiring additional technical site support, construction coordination, quality monitoring, contractor liaison, and project documentation assistance to support efficient project delivery across active construction environments.
The Civil Engineering Technician will support the coordination, monitoring, inspection, and technical delivery of civil and construction projects, working closely with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and operational teams.
This role is focused on practical project support, site coordination, construction monitoring, and technical delivery assistance within active construction environments. The position involves regular attendance across construction sites and active project locations.
The role is particularly suited to candidates with strong practical site coordination experience across live construction environments and the ability to operate effectively within fast-paced project delivery settings.
Applicants with experience across multidisciplinary construction activities, contractor coordination, and technical site support functions will be highly regarded.

- Assist with the coordination of day-to-day civil construction and site operations across multiple projects - Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant standards
- Support project delivery teams with construction monitoring, scheduling coordination, progress tracking, and technical reporting
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control activities across active construction sites
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel to support project delivery requirements
- Monitor construction materials, workmanship, and site activities to support compliance with project and operational requirements
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, inspection reports, technical records, progress updates, and site-related documentation
- Support project teams in identifying and resolving construction and site coordination issues
- Assist with monitoring workplace health and safety practices across project sites
- Participate in site meetings and provide technical and operational support to project delivery personnel
- Support construction close-out activities, inspections, defect rectification, and related project completion processes
- Assist with workflow coordination and construction sequencing activities across live project environments
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, Project Management, or a related field
- Relevant industry experience in construction and civil project environments will be highly regarded

- Relevant experience within civil construction, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or project delivery environments
