Job Title: Civil Site Engineer – Piling & FRP (Formwork, Reinforcement & Pouring)

About the Role:
MCS Civil is a growing civil construction contractor delivering major infrastructure projects throughout New South Wales. Our capabilities include concrete structures, piling, earthworks, roadworks, stormwater infrastructure, utilities, and renewable energy projects.
Due to continued growth and upcoming project awards, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Civil Engineer to join our project delivery team.
Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisors, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of concrete structure works on major civil construction projects.
This is a hands-on role that will suit an engineer who enjoys being actively involved in site operations and driving project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating daily construction activities.
Managing subcontractors and site crews.
Preparing and reviewing work packs, ITPs, SWMS and project documentation.
Quality assurance and compliance inspections.
Monitoring construction progress against programme.
Managing RFIs, NCRs and design clarifications.
Survey set-out verification and as-built documentation.
Tracking productivity, quantities and project costs.
Assisting with procurement and material management.
Maintaining strong safety, environmental and quality standards.
Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in piling and FRP works within civil or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement detailing, and concrete placement techniques
Experience with site supervision, subcontractor coordination, and construction sequencing
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Solid understanding of Australian Standards and WHS regulations
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on major infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, rail, marine, or high-rise foundations)
Familiarity with QA/QC processes, ITPs, and inspection documentation
Exposure to geotechnical and foundation engineering principles
First Aid certification and relevant safety training (e.g., White Card)
