About the Role
This is a permanent daywork position based in our Athol Park workshop. You will use your extensive experience as a CNC machinist along with your trade qualifications and skills, to produce a wide range of products for various industries. As this is a senior role you will also provided technical advice and support and training to other machinists in the team.

We are looking for
A talented Machinist with outstanding CNC Turning skills who can hit the floor running. The successful candidate must be trade qualified and demonstrate the skills and experience to undertake the following:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5-8 years of CNC turning experience to be considered for this position.
Interpreting technical drawings to determine the optimum machining operations required.
Write programs for CNC Lathes including live tooling and bar feeders.
Establish what tooling is needed for the task at hand and set up the machine accordingly.
Troubleshooting and rectifying machining issues.
Assist in training and instructing CNC operators on how to run machines in a safe and efficient manner.
Operate CNC Lathes in a safe manner to achieve quality and efficiency targets.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including Quality and OHS&W.
Applicants must hold a Fitting & Machining trade qualification to be eligible for this role.

Other qualities that would be beneficial
Experience in a repetition production machining environment
Knowledge of OKUMA and/or FANUC Controllers.
The ability to use Mastercam 2025 and/or CIMCO software.
