About the role

IDEA Innovative Disability Engagement Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide complex care to our clients in the Central coast area. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities

2. Providing emotional support and engaging clients in social and recreational activities

3. Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement personalised support plans

4. Maintaining detailed records and documentation

5. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

1. Demonstrated experience in providing complex care to individuals with disabilities

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families and the care team

3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

4. Compassion, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our clients

5. Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or a similar field

6. Availability to work a flexible, casual schedule
