The Opportunity

Operating from within the Infrastructure Services Works Department, you will provide a range of services to ensure the sustainability of community and council infrastructure aimed at enhancing the liveability and environment of our growing region. This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:

• Concrete finishing, steel fixing and form setting

• Undertaking traffic controller duties as required

• Using your interpersonal skills to effectively communicate in a team environment

About Yourself

A person in this position will need to have knowledge and experience in various aspects of civil construction and maintenance works OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:

• Concrete finishing, steel fixing and form setting to trade qualification or skills / experienced evidenced

• Traffic controller (MUTCD)

• Being aware and adhering to safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.

Mandatory Vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
