The Conference & Events Sales Manager will be the driving force behind converting client enquiries into confirmed, profitable events — translating every client's vision into a flawless, memorable experience. Partnering closely with the broader Sales team, you will own clear revenue targets, manage the end-to-end sales and coordination process and contribute to the hotel's continued commercial growth.
This role includes a competitive base salary plus a quarterly performance bonus.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
Develop tailored BEOs that reflect client requirements and the venue's offerings, ensuring all changes prior to the event are communicated to relevant stakeholders
Manage all Conference & Events administration including record-keeping, invoicing, payments, and reporting
Coordinate the booking and planning process across internal departments including Food & Beverage, Banquets, Housekeeping, Front Office, and AV
Conduct site inspections and client meetings to drive conversion and build lasting client relationships
Collaborate with the Banquets team to ensure seamless event execution from confirmed booking through to post-event follow-up
Monitor event budgets and manage resources effectively, maximising profitability without compromising guest experience
Coordinate vendors, exhibitors, and external stakeholders during event planning and delivery
Lead and mentor direct reports, setting clear performance expectations, KPIs and development plans aligned to individual and team goals.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture through regular one-on-ones, coaching, recognition and ongoing training to support career progression.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Previous experience in event sales or conference and events coordination, preferably within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
Proficiency in event management platforms such as Delphi, Opera, Monday.com and standard Microsoft Office applications
A genuine sales mindset — you are comfortable with targets and motivated by results
Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client relationship management and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to working across departments
