About the Company: Based in the Northern Beaches region of NSW, Clad Roofing Supplies Pty Ltd is a dynamic and growing company specialising in roofing and cladding solutions for residential and commercial projects. The company is committed to delivering high-quality materials and reliable service while maintaining strong relationships with clients across the industry. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Estimator with a minimum of one year of experience to join our team on a full-time basis.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assisting Construction Managers, architects, and surveyors in planning and organising roofing and cladding projects, including material selection and project scope definition.
- Interpreting architectural drawings, building regulations, and codes of practice relevant to roofing, cladding, and metal fabrication works.
- Preparing preliminary sketches, take offs, and detailed working drawings for roofing systems, flashings, and custom cladding solutions.
- Preparing, editing, and revising plans, cost estimates, and technical documentation to reflect project changes and client requirements.
- Coordinating work programs and timelines for supply, fabrication, and delivery of roofing and cladding materials across multiple projects.
- Inspecting roofing materials, fabricated components, and on-site works to ensure compliance with specifications, Australian standards, and safety regulations.
- Calculating project costs, including labour, materials (such as metal roofing and cladding), and logistics, while estimating accurate project timeframes.
- Collecting site measurements and project data using relevant tools and instruments to support accurate estimation and project planning.
- Performing routine computations, quantity take offs, and cost analysis, and preparing preliminary data for project feasibility assessments.
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate pricing, efficient delivery schedules, and alignment with project specifications.
Qualifications and skills:
- Relevant qualification in construction management, building, or a related field
- At least 1 year of work experience in construction estimating or a similar role
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications
- Knowledge of building regulations, codes, and industry standards
- High attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $77000 - $82000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 40-hour work week.
