Task & responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of bao and Asian-inspired dishes, including meat, seafood, vegan options, rice boxes, and sides.
- Check ingredients and supplies to ensure the freshness and availability needed for daily menu offerings.
- Monitor and adjust cooking equipment, such as ovens and grills, to achieve the desired temperatures and cooking conditions.
- Assemble dishes with appropriate garnishes and presentation according to Baolicious standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food preparation times and maintain a consistent workflow during service hours.
- Portion, plate, and garnish food to align with Baolicious’s presentation standards and menu specifications.
- Follow recipes accurately and adjust seasonings as required to enhance flavors, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
- Organize and store ingredients appropriately, observing food safety protocols to prevent spoilage.
Qualification & experience
- 1 year work experience
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery /Asian Cookery or Cert IV in Kitchen Management.
- Deep knowledge of Asian ingredients, flavor profiles, and cooking techniques to enhance the authenticity and quality of dishes at Baolicious
- Passionate about culinary craftsmanship and attentive to detail, aligning with Baolicious’s “Handcrafted with love” philosophy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
