Task & responsibilities

As a Cook at PHAT CHICKEN, you will be responsible for preparing our signature menu items while maintaining the high standards our customers love. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to ensure every order is fresh, delicious, and out on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items (including our famous chicken, burgers, Gourmet Dinner Meal and sides) to specific recipes and standards.
• Manage food prep and ensure ingredients are stocked and fresh.
• Portioning, plating, and dressing dishes for uniform quality service and minimize wastages
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.
• Follow all food safety and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure our specialty ovens are operating properly for a well-cooked chicken as well as regulating temperatures of other ovens, grill and other cooking equipment
• Work efficiently during peak periods to ensure minimal wait times for customers.
• Prepare and Cook food as per customer’s requirements including meeting special dietary requirements. 
• Receiving deliveries, properly storing stock (FIFO - First In, First Out), and monitoring stock levels
• Assist in planning menu with management and Chef 
• Train other kitchen and front staffs

Qualification & experience

• Experience: At least 2 years of Full Time Experience in a Restaurant or similar chicken shop
• Speed & Accuracy: The ability to work quickly without compromising on quality.
• Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to communicate well with front-of-house staff.
• Availability: Flexible availability, including weekends and evening shifts.
• Reliability: Someone who is punctual and takes their shifts seriously.
