We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Asphalt Crew Member to join our highly skilled surfacing crew based in Gillman, SA. These roles are available on a Full‑Time or Casual basis and are well suited to individuals who take pride in safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.

About the role
You will be part of a high‑performing surfacing crew delivering asphalt works safely and efficiently across a variety of road construction and maintenance projects. This is a hands‑on role working with experienced operators in a supportive team environment.

About you
You will bring demonstrated experience in a similar role within the asphalt or surfacing industry, along with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety. You will also have:

• Current HR licence (minimum), with HC highly regarded
• Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Certificate II or III in Civil Construction, or relevant civil qualifications (advantageous)
• Competency operating asphalt equipment including pavers, screeds, rollers and skid steers
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently in a crew environment
• A genuine commitment to Downer’s Zero Harm culture

  • Full‑Time: $30.56 – $34.96 per hour
  • Casual: $38.20 – $43.70 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
