Cyber Data Engineer ((CloudOps/SecOps))

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Data Engineer (CloudOps/SecOps) to join a high-performing team delivering critical cyber data initiatives. This role is ideal for a self-starting problem solver with a strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience working with large-scale cyber data environments.

You will collaborate closely with technical leads to refine existing data products, onboard new data sources, and enhance data pipelines and quality across cyber platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud infrastructure and data pipelines
• Support IAM initiatives within data pipeline environments
• Leverage existing frameworks and patterns to:
• Onboard new data sources
• Remediate and uplift legacy code
• Enhance and develop data models to enforce business rules
• Implement and improve data testing and pipeline reliability
• Work with stakeholders to manage expectations and prioritise deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on skills in SQL and Python
• Experience across DevOps and SecOps environments
• Exposure to SIEM platforms
• Experience with cloud-native tooling, containers, GitHub, and ephemeral workloads
• Strong understanding of cyber security concepts and terminology
• Clear knowledge of the distinction between threats vs vulnerabilities

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with GCP, BigQuery (GBQ), DBT
• Exposure to Bindplane or streaming data pipelines
• CI/CD pipeline development experience
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Familiarity with MITRE frameworks
• Experience with cyber metrics and graph databases
