About the role

In this role, you will be an experienced Data Architect with 5-10 years experience delivering large scale transformation programs across Defence and/or Federal Government. You wil join a growing consulting firm in Canberra, who is seeking someone with strong technical capability and preferably someone who has worked within a consulting environment or has strong senior stakeholder management skills.

You will play a key role in helping government organisations modernise legacy environments, unlock value from data and build scalable cloud-based solutions that support critical business outcomes.

• Permanent Full Time Position

• NV1 Security Clearance, NV2 Preferred

• You must be based in Canberra

Responsibilities

• Leading the design of enterprise data architectures across complex transformation programs

• Developing data strategies, roadmaps and target-state architectures

• Designing modern cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems

• Working closely with business leaders, architects, engineers and delivery teams to translate business needs into practical solutions

• Providing architectural guidance across data governance, integration, analytics and AI initiatives

• Supporting data migration, modernisation and platform uplift activities

• Engaging senior stakeholders to shape technology decisions and transformation outcomes

• Contributing to business development activities and growing trusted client relationships

About you

• 5-10 years' experience within consulting, architecture or enterprise transformation environments

• Experience delivering complex data or technology programs within Defence or Federal Government

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence senior decision-makers

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions

• Ability to bridge business requirements and technical delivery outcomes

• Experience developing architecture artefacts, roadmaps and strategic recommendations

• Completed a Bachelor Degree (or higher) in relevant area

• Active NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance

• Based in Canberra
