Advertising Specialist

• Planning, developing and implementing advertising initiatives and promotional campaigns to achieve sales objectives.
• Advising managers and clients on marketing and advertising strategies to reach target audiences, enhance brand awareness, and effectively showcase product and service benefits.
• Managing the production of advertising material, including artwork, copy, media scripts, film and television content, and placement across various channels, while adhering to timeframes and budgets.
• Analyzing consumer data to identify preferences, behaviours, and purchasing patterns.
• Monitoring and forecasting existing and emerging consumer trends.
• Researching demand and market conditions for new products and services, supported by data collection and statistical analysis.
• Contributing to business growth through the design and delivery of marketing plans, programs, and policies.
• Commissioning and carrying out market studies to identify opportunities for both established and new offerings.
• Providing advice across the full marketing mix, including product strategy, pricing, promotions, sales, and distribution channels.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement advertising campaigns that align with sales and business objectives
• Advise management and clients on advertising and marketing strategies to reach target audiences and enhance brand awareness
• Coordinate the end-to-end production of advertising material, including artwork, copywriting, media scripts, and digital/print placement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitor and analyze consumer behaviour, preferences and purchasing patterns to guide campaign direction
• Research and forecast current and emerging market trends, identifying opportunities for new and existing products and services
• Collect and interpret data and statistics to support marketing decisions and campaign performance reviews
• Support business growth by preparing and executing marketing policies, programs and initiatives
• Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors and media partners to deliver effective campaigns
• Provide advice on all aspects of the marketing mix, including product positioning, pricing, promotions, sales strategies and distribution channels

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Strong knowledge of advertising principles, campaign planning, and the marketing mix
• Familiarity with creative production processes, including artwork, copywriting, media scripting and placement
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
• Proficiency with advertising and marketing tools/software
