Ravenshoe Highland Bakery is a locally owned retail/wholesale Bakery servicing Far North Queensland, we are Located on the Atherton Tablelands West of Cairns.
About the place - Ravenshoe - Great place to live:
Ravenshoe ('Ravens-hoe') is a town 1 hour drive west of Innisfail and 2 hour drive south-west of Cairns on the Atherton Tablelands. It is at the junction of the Kennedy and Palmerston Highways.
Ravenshoe lies between rainforest and savannah, is the highest town in Queensland at 920 meters, is a lush region of mountain pastures and un-spoiled World Heritage rainforest. The temperature is typically mild, rarely exceeding 28°C.
Ravenshoe has golf course, bowls club, Pony Club, Motor cross facility, community center, medical clinics, a State primary school, a Catholic primary school and a State secondary campus (there are other schools serviced from Ravenshoe by Bus). There are plenty of freshwater swimming spots that run all year i.e. the Little Millstream Falls, the Big Millstream Falls (Australia's widest falls in full flow), Koombooloomba dam (Fishing, Boating etc) and the Innot hot springs.
The Role:
Currently we produce several types of breads, Pies, Cakes, Slices, etc. for sale through our Cafe and to our remote customers. We require an additional Bread Baker – to run and be part of our experienced bread production team. The shift is an afternoon shift 5pm until midnight (typically, dependent on orders). The position is permanent part time or Full time (some flexibility). Above award rates and conditions are provided, our aim is to is for our workers to achieve a work life balance based on the individual’s needs. Training/familiarization will be provided prior to running shifts.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Monitoring oven temperature, products and baking times.
· Loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bakery products.
· Participate in weekly/daily production meetings and provide the reports to management team.
Relevant Qualifications:
· Certificate III in Baking or equivalent of 3 years of work experiences to substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
Relevant Experience:
· At least three years of relevant experience as a Baker in similar capacity.
Relevant Skills:
· Excellent communication skills.
· Experience in similar role.
