Task & responsibilities

• Getting meat ready for sale by deboning, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing, and grinding meat to the desired shape and size for display or customer orders
• Preparing breaded meat cuts, as well as marinating, seasoning, and curing special cuts
• Choosing and preparing meat for making smallgoods
• Using machines to grind, mix, mince, and tenderize meat
• Ensure all meats are handled and stored safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain adequate inventory levels and manage meat supplies efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

Qualification & experience

• Excellent English skills
• The right to work in Australia
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the occupation or related field
• Team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Familiar with industry best practices
• Proficiency in all aspects of food safety
• Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
