Chef

The Jolly Miller Cafe is currently in search of an experienced and qualified Chef for a full-time position to join the team and provide exceptional meals to the customers. The aim of this role is to produce consistent and great quality items off the menu in order to maintain the business’ reputation and to sustain and develop its loyal customers.

Task & responsibilities:

•  Plan and develop menus, ensuring a variety of high-quality dishes.
•  Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency in food preparation.
•  Oversee kitchen operations, maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.
•  Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to minimize waste.
•  Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes for all dishes.
•  Handle high-pressure situations while maintaining quality and efficiency.  

Qualifications & experience:

•  At least 1 year of experience as a Chef.
•  A Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
•  Strong time management skills.
•  Exceptional communication abilities.
•  Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
•  Australian full work rights.

Benefits:

Salary range - $65,000 to $85,000 per Annum + Superannuation.
