Chef

We are seeking for the Chef who is responsible for planning, preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met. The role involves supervision of kitchen operations and may include staff training and stock management. The position requires a passion for Indian cuisine and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality.

Task & responsibilities

• Enforce hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise team members on proper food preparation procedures.
• Responsible for freezing, preserving, and properly storing food items.
• Order food supplies and manage inventory to support consistent meal service.
• Prepare and cook food while overseeing quality control at every stage.
• Collaborate with managers, dietitians, and both kitchen and service staff to resolve food preparation concerns.
• Involved in selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff.
• Plan menus and estimate both food and labour costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification and at least minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in restaurants, hotels, or catering.
• Knowledge of traditional Indian spices, cooking methods, and regional specialties.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Sound understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
