Our Burpengary location is seeking multiple positions for dedicated and skilled cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team and help deliver quality meals to our valued customers. As a Cook at Café 63 Burpengary, you will be responsible for creating and providing a variety of delicious dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and consistency.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with Café’s menu
• Seasoning food during cooking
• Follow the food preparation process and any other relative activities as per the guidelines
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• Store food in temperature controlled facilities by following food safety standards
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirement by complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations
• Assist to plan menus and estimate food requirements as necessary
• Train other kitchen staff and apprentices as necessary

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced Café or restaurant environment
• Minimum Certificate IV qualification is required
• At least 1 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen
• Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent experience
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
