The role:

  • Food prep and food production of a la carte cooking
  • Kitchen set up and breakdown pre and post service
  • Practice and maintain a safe work environment
  • Follow food safety practices
  • Stock control and rotation
  • Supervision of apprentices and kitchen attendants
  • Communication with front of house and back of house staff
  • A team player

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Commercial Cookery Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Passionate about high quality food
  • A high level of hygiene standards and personal presentation
  • Good clear communicator
  • Positive attitude, teamwork and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual and efficient
  • Work fast, clean and motivate team by leading by example
  • Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well
  • Following and enforcing workplace health and safety requirements
  • Working with head chef to meet the food and kitchen budget
  • Developing kitchen services standards that ensure efficiencies and compliance

Seeking a dynamic experienced Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team.Fulltime position on a rotating roster. Candidate must be available weekdays and weekends.
