Conducting fault analysis using diagnostic tools and technical data to identify issues within engines and related mechanical systems
Disassembling and removing engines, drivetrains, steering components and other assemblies to inspect wear or damage
Carrying out preventive maintenance including fluid changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and performance tuning
Rebuilding and reassembling overhauled engines and mechanical systems with precision and adherence to manufacturer guidelines
Testing repaired systems to confirm correct operation, safety, and compliance with roadworthiness standards
Operating advanced diagnostic software and calibration tools to troubleshoot engine and performance-related faults
Keeping comprehensive maintenance records and adhering to safety, environmental, and quality protocols at all times
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Minimum of 1-3 years’ relevant experience.
Solid understanding of heavy vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and braking systems
Confidence in using diagnostic computers and interpreting fault codes
Ability to work unsupervised, with strong time management and attention to detail
A team player attitude with commitment to workshop safety standards
